The Beginning of Our Humble Hive
Share
I’ve been an interior designer for over 20 years, and in that time, I’ve been fortunate to work on projects I truly love—carefully chosen for their meaning, style, and the joy they bring. I’m particular about what I use in my designs, always searching for pieces that feel special, timeless, and just right for each home.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wished there was a place where people could find all of the things I love to use—the finishing touches that bring a room to life and make a house feel like home. I’ve always dreamed of opening a shop like that… a place where my eye for design and my love of beautiful, meaningful pieces could come together under one roof.
When I first dreamed of Our Humble Hive, I imagined more than just a store. I pictured a destination for people who, like me, love beautiful things and great design—a place that feels like a sanctuary, where you can slow down, connect, and be inspired.
For years, the idea quietly lived in my heart—a someday dream. Then one ordinary day, something extraordinary happened. While visiting one of my favorite little shops, I learned it would soon be available to rent. That simple moment set in motion a series of events that felt nothing short of miraculous.
It was as if every piece fell into place: the timing, the location, and even some deeply personal answers to prayer about my health. These weren’t cures or instant fixes, but they gave me the hope and strength I needed to believe I could take this leap. It felt like God was whispering, “This is it. This is yours.”
And so, the shop Our Humble Hive was born.
Here, you’ll find thoughtfully curated home décor, timeless gifts, and interior design services—all chosen with love, quality, and character in mind. From handpicked treasures to creative design solutions, my hope is that every item you bring home adds warmth, beauty, and meaning to your space.
This is more than a store to me. It’s the start of something life-giving—an invitation to gather, to be inspired, and to find joy in the little things that make your hive feel like a home.
I can’t wait to welcome you in person, hear your stories, and help you create a home you truly love.
Here’s to new beginnings and the sweet hum of possibility.
